Want to know more about our au pairs?

Every au pair is unique, with their own background, habits, and traditions. Take the time to explore their profiles and discover who they really are beyond their photograph and nationality. Be open to new cultures and dare to connect with the unfamiliar. Remember: "Do not judge a book by its cover." Approach our au pairs with an open heart, and you will gain the most wonderful experiences from our au pair program.

At Au Pair Holland, we distinguish only between European and non-European au pairs. This distinction arises from the complexity of the arrangements required for non-European au pairs, which often involve higher costs. These costs include visa procedures and specific documentation requirements. All our au pairs are thoroughly screened by our international partners, and we strive to ensure they integrate smoothly into your family. Alexandra

from Spain
Meet Alexandra, a 21-year-old from Spain. After studying English, she worked as an au pair in France. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with friends. Her friends describe her as sociable, patient, and eager to learn. With three years of experience working with children, Alexandra understands the importance of understanding children, communicating with them at their level, and remaining patient. After her successful experience in France, Alexandra has decided to come to the Netherlands to gain new experiences and explore a different culture. Although she quickly felt at home, she had to adjust to meal times and the weather. Alexandra's enthusiasm and work experience make her an ideal au pair.

Zola

from South Africa
Zola, a 23-year-old from Johannesburg, South Africa, is fluent in English and Afrikaans and enjoys spending her free time on puzzles, reading, and creative projects. Initially needing to adjust to the direct Dutch culture, which differed from her own, she now appreciates the clarity it brings. Zola describes herself as determined, good with children, caring, and patient. Her commitment to childcare is evidenced by her two-month volunteer at preschools, where she not only assisted with children but also supported preschool teachers during breaks. Being the oldest child in her family, she frequently took on the responsibility of looking after her younger siblings, playing with them, and providing care.

Thomas

from Germany
Meet Thomas, a 20-year-old from Germany. In his spare time, he enjoys engaging with music: he creates and produces music, plays guitar and piano, and works as a DJ. Thomas is studying pedagogy with a specialization in sports and completed a two-week internship at a preschool. There he learned to manage large groups of children and focus on their individual challenges, such as resolving conflicts. He finds joy in witnessing children grow and assisting them in their development. Thomas has always been drawn to Dutch culture, language, and music, which influenced his decision to come to the Netherlands. One significant cultural difference he experienced was the informality in communication within families and the environment.
